Along with writing, photography is the other lifelong hobby of mine that has always made me feel calm and centered. Like writing, photography is about finding meaning and stories in the details, in figuring out how exactly to fill a frame.
In particular, while I love an Instagram filter as much as the next reasonable human being, nothing makes me feel more myself quite like 35mm film.
Occasionally, I’ll drop some of these film photographs in here, mainly just for myself, to remind me of the places I’ve been and all the different ways there are to tell a story.
